What does 'bio-based' mean?
'Bio-based' means that a product was made up of naturally derived materials such as agricultural, forestry, and marine materials. In order for a product to be certified as bio-based, it must contain at least 25% bio-based content.
Vermont Natural Coatings uses whey protein, an agricultural material, and hemp oil, a forestry material, as ingredients in our USDA Certified Bio-Based Products. Both of these ingredients naturally occur and renew without causing any harm to our planet.
